The places we recommend to our guests. Most of them are a few minutes' walk from Townhouse Boutique and Schiller Apartment.
The heart of the old town. Climb the Council Tower for the view over the roofs with their famous 'eyes', then walk under the tower into the Small Square.
The cast-iron bridge between the Small Square and the Lower Town. Legend says it creaks when someone tells a lie on it. The little streets below are worth a walk too.
In the palace on the Main Square, one of the oldest art collections in the region. Give it at least an hour.
An open-air museum in Dumbrava Forest with houses, mills and workshops from all over Romania. It's on the edge of town, so you'll need a car or a bus. Plan half a day.
From November until after the holidays, the Main Square fills up with stalls, lights and mulled wine. Rooms in the centre go fast then, so book early.
The price on our site is the best you'll find, and paying by card takes another 5% off.
